Halloween this upcoming Monday should be fun and exciting! Kids will be out trick-or-treating in full force, there will be neighborhood costume parties, and even restaurants and bars will partake in the Halloween festivities.
Alcohol can play a major part of many of these festivities and can leave you and your family in an unsafe position, according to these frightening Halloween drunk driving statistics:
- 44% of national fatal crashes during Halloween weekend involved a driver or motorcyclist with a BAC of 0.08 or higher.
- 38% of fatal crashes that occurred on Halloween night involved a driver or motorcyclist with a BAC of 0.08 or higher.
- 23% of pedestrian fatalities on Halloween night included a drunk driver.
With these statistics in mind, we’d like to remind all of our clients, friends and family to stay safe and be extra vigilant of your surroundings this weekend. We here at Levine Law Group hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!
