“My name is Abbey Roberts, I am the Workers’ Compensation Paralegal at LLG. I have been with LLG for 10 years. I generally spend my days discussing various concerns and issues with clients that may arise for them and trying to help rectify those matters by conferring with our Workers’ Compensation attorney to achieve positive solutions for each client. Some of these issues can include late benefit payments, medication and appointment issues, and insurance questions and concerns, among other topics. My responsibilities include drafting Motions and Orders for the North Carolina Industrial Commission, preparing Interrogatory responses, and correspondence to all parties involved in each claim. Also, I prepare the clients’ files for mediations and hearings for our Worker’s Compensation attorney. I am in contact daily with my clients, defense attorneys and other paralegals, insurance companies, and medical providers.
Some of my favorite things about working for Levine Law Group are that I enjoy working with both my co-workers and my clients. I enjoy problem-solving and helping our clients reach fair and equitable settlements by assisting the attorney on each and every WC file.
When I’m not working at Levine Law Group, I enjoy spending my time with family and friends. I love being a wife to my husband, Adam, and a mom to our 2-year old son, Ford Michael. We stay busy in our free time doing things like playing outside with Ford, traveling and cooking together. Some other things I also enjoy are listening to Howard Stern on the daily, watching reality TV and honing my Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune skills, drinking way too much caffeine, facetiming with family far away, keeping anyone who cares updated with current celebrity gossip, letting “country roads take me home” to West Virgina as often as I can, taking copious amounts of pictures of my son and arguing with my dear husband about what’s for dinner every day.
Some quirky facts about me are that I actually loved school and really miss it! If I could go to school every day, I would! You can never learn too much, right? I have a BS in Criminal Justice (Marshall University – Go HERD!), a Master’s Degree in Criminology (UNCC) and my Paralegal Certificate from Duke University. Also – I’m from Point Pleasant, WV, the home of the Mothman! (google it)”
