This past weekend we had the pleasure of being a part of the Dancing Davis Shaking Off Cancer Foundation’s 2nd Annual 5K run. Dancing Davis Shaking off Cancer Foundation was developed in honor of Davis Overcash, that fought and won his battle with Hepatoblastoma liver cancer. The Overcash family had an amazing amount of support from the community, their family, church, friends, and people they had never even met. This overwhelming support made them realize how much they wanted to give back what they, as a family, had received during Davis’ battle. Dancing Davis is a non-profit organization 501 (c)(3). The Foundation’s main goal is to raise awareness that childhood cancer is real and is not as rare as most people believe. The Dancing Davis Foundation wants to be able to help other families that may be suffering financially with assistance. They also hope that they can provide support and hope to other families fighting this horrific battle.
